    • lead poisoning
    • preventing lead poisoning
    • other healthy homes issues
    Offers an EPA accredited training provider for classes in lead safe work practices. Free services offered to owners of residential properties built before 1978 in the cities of:
    • Alameda
    • Berkeley
    • Emeryville
    • Oakland
    Lead hazard reduction funds are available for lead hazard control.
    Eligible properties are low-income occupants with young children.

    Offers grants to be used to make minor plumbing, carpentry, electrical, railings, grab bars, toilets, water heaters, doors, and more.

  • Eligibility: Must be cities of Albany, Dublin, Emeryville, Oakland, Newark, Union City, and the unincorporated areas of Ashland, Cherryland, Castro Valley, Hayward Acres, Hillcrest Knolls, Fairview, San Lorenzo, and Sunol resident who have a household income at or below the HUD income limits; Own your own home or mobile home in one of our services areas or Oakland homeowners must be 62 or older and/or have a disability to participate in the minor home repair program.
