• Description: Public library branch offers books, CDs, DVDs, audio books, magazines and newspapers. Spanish language collection is the largest of the system, with 18,500 circulating Spanish items. Also of popular interest is the Chicano reference and circulating collection. Chavez also has small Chinese Adult, and Arabic Children's and Adult collections. Equipped with 16 computers with Internet access for public use.
  
  Additional programs include The Cesar Chavez Seed Library. It is a free urban seed project. Program is committed to increasing the capacity of community to feed itself wholesome food. Request that individuals give seed after planting them and return some of these next generation seeds for others to borrow.

  Offers ongoing services during Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) and Disasters. If library has power, will allow charging, computer use and possibly medicine refrigeration.
