• Description: Offers programs and projects that benefit the citizens of some cities in Alameda County and other users of its services. With the goals of preserving and upgrading housing for current and future needs. This grant can be used to make minor plumbing, carpentry, electrical repairs. Can be used for railings, grab bars, toilets, water heaters, doors, locks and more.
  
  Not for emergency repairs. Services are available only once in a two year period. An exception is Union City where services are available only once in a three year period and are subject to a lifetime cap.
