EPIC, EAST BAY AGENCY FOR CHILDREN (EBAC)

Description:
Provides comprehensive mental health services and early childhood education for emotionally disturbed children age 3.5-6 years old. Aims to prepare the child for mainstream kindergarten. Treatment goals include:
- Improve self-regulation and social expression skills
- Increase the family's ability to respond to the child's needs.
- Support the family and educators in supporting the child's transition in daycare or kindergarten
Please note:
Offers ongoing services during Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) and Disasters. Services are available if power is turned off in this facility.

Eligibility: Must have full Medi-Cal coverage in Alameda County.
Must be:
Child ages 3.5 - 6 who have yet to enter kindergarten.
Child may currently display, or are at risk of developing, emotional or behavioral challenges.
Children that would benefit from all components of the program
Requirements: Referral from Alameda County Access line, pediatrician, therapist, school or similar source, self-referral. Proof of medi-cal.
