LEAP (LIFE SKILLS, EMPLOYMENT, ACCESS, AND PARTNERSHIPS), THE ARC OF THE EAST BAY

Description: Offers help in exploring clients interests and needs. Helps provide access to better educational and economic opportunities. The majority of clients' time will be spent in their communities and not in a classroom. Services provided include:
- Offering clients the opportunity to use and practice the functional skills they are learning in a natural setting
- Assist people to explore their interests and needs while fulfilling their career and personal goals
- Develop partnerships with organizations and businesses in the community. These organization's work with clients to provide jobs, volunteer opportunities and other options

Eligibility: Adults over the age of 22, a resident of Alameda County, a client of the Regional Center of the East Bay, (Regional Center of East Bay, La Familia, or Asian Community Mental Health Services) and primary diagnosis of an Intellectual and/or Developmental Disability (program entrance criteria available).
