• Description: Offers a literacy program that pairs adults who want to improve their reading and writing skills with trained tutors. Pairs typically meet once or twice weekly for one to two hours each meeting. Adult learners work on goals that are important to them that include:
  • help a child with homework
  • fill out a job application
  • study for the driver's license exam
  • write a letter
  • become more confident in talking to the doctor or a child's teacher
