  Men's Sober Living Environment is an extension of C.U.R.A., Inc. Therapeutic Community. Transitional living emphasizes achieving:

  • full time employment
  • developing a support system
  • realizes each person s potential for healthy living

  Works closely with the Courts, Parole, Probation and other referral agencies. Facility in Oakland has 45 beds for males only. Two bedrooms have bathing facilities especially designed for wheelchair disabilities.

  Offers ongoing services during Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) and Disasters. Services are available if power is turned off in this facility.

• Eligibility: Must be a male age 18 to 70 with a desire to maintain an abstinent and sober lifestyle. Active Hepatitis C and tuberculosis applicants need medical clearance prior to admission. HIV is admissible. If individual has out of county Medi-cal, may qualify after doing an inter county transfer.
