  • Description: Offers free medical clinic services to students K-12 students within AUSD. Services provided include:
    • School-Based Health Centers. Comprehensive services span the spectrum of medical health, mental health, case management, health education and youth leadership development. Services are confidential, and are offered during school hours and on school grounds. The SBHCs, located at Alameda, Encinal and the CLCS High Schools, serve students from ASTI and Island High Schools as well.
    • School-Based Mental Health. Mental health services are provided at most public schools in Alameda. Provide brief counseling with a focus on assessment, stabilization, and skill building. Services take place on campus and during school hours.
    • Youth Leadership Development. Provide a Youth Advisory Board (YAB) internship program to high school students. Students must be interested in learning about and promoting health and wellness in school.
