Help reduce the impact of mental health emergencies in the city of Berkeley. This help is provided through immediate response to crisis situations at the street-level. Assists through coordination with local public safety organizations, hospitals and other community groups. Services provided include:
Deliver crisis intervention services at locations throughout the community. Includes suicide, homicide, threats, drug abuse, evaluation for psychiatric hospitalization
Provide consultation to hospital emergency personnel, community agencies and citizens
Provides information about mental health and other social services, as requested
Provide consultation to police and fire departments. Consultation is in regards to known or potential mental health cases
Please note: Offers services during Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) and Disasters. Services are available if power is turned off in this facility.
Hours: Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday: 24-hour services
Wed, Thurs, Fri, and Sat: Noon-4pm and 8pm-11:59 pm
Eligibility: Residents of Berkeley. Assists those primarily referred by the Berkeley Police Department, Fire Departments, hospital emergency rooms, other Berkeley agencies.
