COMMUNITY ORIENTED PREVENTION SERVICES (COPS) ADVOCATES, SAFE ALTERNATIVES TO VIOLENT ENVIRONMENTS (SAVE)
Did this help?
- Description: Provides resources and support for intimate partner abuse victims. COPS Advocates work at the Fremont, Hayward, Newark, Union City, and San Leandro Police Departments. Abuse victims can walk into any of these Police Departments and request a SAVE Advocate's help. A COPS Advocate may call to follow up if a police report has been filed due to a domestic violence incident. COPS Advocates provide the same crisis support, referrals, and advice as our hotline counselors. COPS Advocates often meet one-on-one with victims.
