Provides mental health services to eligible children andyouth (age 0-21) including case management, medication services, counseling,and psychotherapy. County Behavioral Health also operates specialized programsfor adults, seniors, and those requiring specialized Substance Use Disorder(SUD) treatment.
The Access Team provides 24-hour confidential crisisintervention and referral services (800-952-2335).
Eligibility: Serve Medi-Cal eligible children/youth and young adults (up to age 21) who have moderate to severe behavioral health needs living in Santa Cruz County.
ACCESS Line staff can support individuals/families in connecting with other providers in the community if the child/youth/young adult does not meet the moderate to severe behavioral health need criteria.
Medi-Cal Eligibility Workers are also available to support eligible individuals in obtaining Medi-Cal coverage by calling the Benefits Call Center at 1-888-421-8080.
Requirements: No documents required to request services. ACCESS Line staff will ask caller to provide information on the child/youth being referred, including name; date of birth; social security number (not required); the reason for requesting services; and information on the child/youth's Medi-Cal card (if they have one).
