  • Description: Serves and protects the community from the hazards associated with fire, hazardous materials, and disasters. Provides rescue and basic life support for medical emergencies. Offers programs to prevent and mitigate the threats associated with fire, medical emergencies, hazardous materials, and accidental injury through prevention and public education activities.

    Also issues burning permits which authorize community residents to have open fires on their property for recreational, brush or rubbish disposal, land clearing or agricultural purposes. Offers a Community Emergency Response Program. Offers fire plan inspection of old and new buildings. Also offers an Explorer Post Program for youth who wish to become a fire fighter.
