Description: Provides general library service in San Francisco. Includes books for loan, audio cassettes, video cassettes, CD's, and DVD's. Reference services and inter-library loan. Also offers access to public computers and Wi-Fi.

Large Chinese language collection
Small Italian interest collection
Small collection of information by and about "Beat" writers
Local oral history, newspapers, newsletters (The Semaphore) and selected poems by Ronald F. Sauer
Please note: Also offers as an air respite and heat respite center. These services are not available if a power outage occurs in this facility.
Eligibility: Must be:
. California resident (required to obtain library card; must have a library card to check out materials.)
. San Francisco residents who have a disability or long-term medical condition that prevents from visiting the Library
. Educators living or working in SF may apply for a Teacher Card.
. A parent / guardian must sign for anyone under age 13.
Requirements: Valid photo ID, People ages 13-18 can show valid ID or have a parent / guardian sign
