Description: Provides general library services in San Francisco. Includes books for loan, audio cassettes, video cassettes, CD's, and DVD's. Reference services and inter-library loan. Also offers access to public computers and Wi-Fi.
Collection includes:
High interest books for adult, teen and children
Basic collections of fiction, nonfiction and reference materials
Variety of magazines, newspapers, audiobooks, CDs and DVDs in English, Chinese and Russian
Large collections of Russian and Chinese language materials for Adults and Children
Medium collection of Chinese Teen materials
Medium collection of Spanish materials for children
Small collections of French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese for children
Please note: Also offers as an air respite and heat respite center. These services are not available if a power outage occurs in this facility.
Eligibility: . California residency required to obtain library card; must have a library card to check out materials.
. San Francisco residents who have a disability or long-term medical condition that prevents you from visiting the Library may use Home Library Services.
. Educators living or working in SF may apply for a Teacher Card.
. SFPL also offers Welcome, Digital Access, and Visitor cards for those who don't have a CA ID.
Requirements: Valid photo ID, People ages 13-18 can show valid ID or have a parent / guardian sign
