UNIVERSITY PREP (UP!), CANAL ALLIANCE

Description:
Provides afterschool program offering tutoring, homework help, academic workshops, and counseling. Prepares students to graduate from high school ready for college. Students also receive support to apply to and enroll in college. Once in college, UP! provides scholarships and case management to support student success.

General services are available during Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) and disasters.
These services are still available if a power outage occurs in this facility.

Eligibility: Open to 6-12 grade students from Latino families with a recent immigration experience and attend San Rafael City Schools. This year, our students attend Davidson Middle School, Venetia Valley K-8, San Rafael High School, Terra Linda High School, and Marin Academy.
Requirements: Grades from the past two years, a teacher recommendation (included in application form), most recent state test (Caaspp and ELPAC) scores.
