• Description:

  Determines the manner and cause of death of individuals in Solano County. Provides inquiry into all deaths occurring in the County where the deceased has not been seen. Also inquire into deaths that have not been under the care of a licensed physician for 20 days prior to death. Services to the public include:

  • oversees indigent burials

  • processes death certificates

  • locates and notifies legal next-of-kin

  • conducts investigations to determine the manner and cause of death

  • notifies Public Guardian when there is a need for administration of decedent estates

  Please note:
  General services are available during Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) and disasters.
  These services are still available if a power outage occurs in this facility.
