• Description: Provides rent, deposit, or mortgage payment assistance including furniture assistance. Provide mortgage or rent assistance if there has been an unexpected rise in utilities and emergency car repairs. New furniture needs with valid proof of need. Offers deposit assistance to young adults with child/children who are leaving home, neighborhood safety and room rental. Restrictions apply, clients must call SOS to inquire about eligibility.

• Eligibility: Applicants must be residents of Contra Costa for at least 3 months, AND either a senior (55+), temporary or permanently disabled, low to moderate income family with dependent children, who are under 18, emancipated foster youth, veteran, victim of domestic violence or violent crime or pregnant in second trimester. Applicants can apply every 5 years.
