BENEFITSCAL (FOOD STAMPS/SNAP APPLICATIONS), CONTRA COSTA COUNTY EMPLOYMENT AND HUMAN SERVICES

Description: Provides an online platform for residents to apply for CalWORKS, CalFresh (Food Stamps), Medi-Cal and General Assistance case benefits. Clients who use this system can create an account, upload documents, make changes, and check on the status of their application.

Eligibility: Contra Costa resident and a US citizen, refugee, asylee, legal permanent resident or Cuban/Haitian entrant; households with at least one person age 60 or older. A person who is not a US citizen, refugee, asylee, legal permanent resident or Cuban/Haitian entrant but has children (0-18), may apply for their children if they are eligible. Clients assets do no count or affect eligibility. All requirements are reviewed during the application interview. Call for specific elgibilit questions.
