The CalFresh program is a nutrition assistance program in which eligible low income households can purchase food at participating grocery stores with the use of an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card that looks like a credit or debit card. Someone can be eligible if they own a home, have no children, are working, own a vehicle, or have no permanent address.
