COMMUNICABLE DISEASE INVESTIGATION PROGRAM, FRESNO COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH

Description:
Conducts investigations of reportable disease and conditions in hopes to identify source/risk factors, ensures diagnostic testing, provides education to reduce/prevent spread of disease.
- Investigate reportable infectious diseases in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Monitor and track reportable diseases and conditions.
- Notify the public of their risk for infectious diseases.
- Investigate outbreaks and enact control measures to prevent further disease spread.
- Assist healthcare partners in providing diagnostic testing & treatment of infectious diseases.
- Provide patient education of infectious disease and ways to reduce spread.
