  Registers all births and deaths within the county including out of hospital births. Provides copies of birth and death certificates within the past 12 months. Offers health and infectious disease statistics.

  Records can be requested in person or by mail. If the birth or death occurred within the last 12 months mail requests should be directed to the Madera County Dept. of Public Health, however if the birth or death occurred 1 year or more mailed requests should be sent to the Madera County Recorder's Office.
