HUMANE EDUCATION, CENTRAL CALIFORNIA SPCA

Did this help?

  • Description: This department focuses on the importance of spay and neuter with an emphasis on the impact of pet overpopulation in the Central Valley. Additional programs include humane education, animal law awareness, and dog bite prevention. Listed below are the different programs and services we offer:

    Pawsitive Adventures Animal Camp

CCSPCA's Pawsitive Adventures Animal Camp is a week-long camp designed for children 8 to 12 years old. At camp, kids learn basic animal care and responsibility for pets, have hands-on experiences with animals, and learn how to be advocates for animals in our community. Additionally, campers will create animal related crafts, make pet treats, listen and learn about animals from guest speakers, and much more! Register your child.

    Presentations/Assemblies

"All Dogs Can Bite" The dog safety presentation is a quick reference to learning how to remain cool, calm, and collected when loose dogs approach us. In the process of learning how to be safe around dogs, attendees also learn how to be kind to animals.

    "Good Citizen Pets"

Raising awareness about proper pet care and owner responsibilities involved with owning a pet is the key to becoming a humane community. It is in our best interest and the animals' welfare, understanding what rights animals have and what responsibilities pet owners have.

    Special Classes

Special classes will be offered on different animal related subjects open to the public throughout the year. Stay tuned to our social media outlets for updates!
