Description: Funded by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, the Supportive Services for Veteran Families program is administered through Volunteers of America to provide supportive services to extremely low or very low-income veterans and veteran families who are homeless or are at immediate risk of becoming homeless.To receive veterans supportive services a person must be: a veteran, homeless or at immediate risk of becoming homeless, very low income not to exceed 50% AMI (Area Median Income).Eligible Veteran families are provided with outreach, case management, and assistance in obtaining VA and other benefits, which may include: Supportive Services Transportation services Child care services Housing Assistance

Eligibility: To receive supportive services under the Veterans Family Services program, you must be:a veteran, low income, homeless or at immediate risk of becoming homeless. A Veteran is defined as: a person who served in the active military, naval, or air service, and who was discharged or released therefrom under conditions other than dishonorable.
Requirements: Photo ID, undeleted DD-214 showing discharge status, proof of income for all adult family members, housing payment receipts, landlord agreements, social security cards for family members, birth certificates for dependent children.
