Description: The California Department of Rehabilitation offers vocational rehabilitation services for Californians with disabilities to obtain and retain employment and maximize their ability to live independently in their communities. Provides career assessment and counseling, job search and interview skills, independent living skills, career education and training, information and referral assistance, and assistive technology information.
Eligibility: Individuals are determined eligible for services based on their documented disability, the nature of their vocational problems and information about their ability to benefit from services.The Department of Rehabilitation serves individuals with a documented disability who have a vocational problem. Priority is given to individuals with significant difficulties and functional limitations.
