- Description: Provides handmade blankets to children who are seriously ill, traumatized or in need. Project Linus is devoted to constructing quilts and afghans for children of all ages (0-17) who are in need. Volunteers in the community make quilts and donate them free of charge.Quilts and blankets are donated on an ongoing basis to numerous medical facilities and organizations in the area, including Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital, and Tahoe Truckee Hospital. The Nevada County Chapter distributes handmade Project Linus blankets to children in need of a community hug within Nevada County.

Blankets can be dropped off at the Fabric Department in the rear of the store. West America Bank, Wildwood Shopping Center, Pleasant Valley Road in Penn Valley
