Description: California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKS) is California's Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program. CalWORKS provides temporary financial assistance and employment focused services to families with minor children who have income and property below state maximum limits for their family size.Offers job-related education or training, job-search preparation workshops, practice job interviews, and job interview assistance to all parents and caretaker relatives who receive CalWORKS cash assistance.---------------------This is a Ready to Grow (R2G) resource. Ready to Grow is a First 5 Nevada County program to connect children 0-5 with services and information that support their well-being. Organizations with programs that have this R2G tag may have additional programs of interest to families.

Eligibility: Eligibility is determined based on Income, Property, and Household Composition. Participation in a Welfare-to-Work Services to find employment may be required. Must have a minor child in the home up to the age of 19 (if still in high school)
