• Description: This program, known as Family Room/Making Connections; is a comprehensive approach to school readiness that directly serves families and their young children on developing literacy skills for both children and adults. This is a project to increase the school readiness of children entering Tahoe Truckee Unified School District elementary schools.Activities include: parenting classes family workshops and events skill building classes events to promote family literacy support for preschool and early care providers activities to foster a stronger connection to the elementary school environment other related activitiesWe serve both English and Spanish speaking families; we provide our calendar, descriptions of events and activities, and resources in both languages.
