Description: The ALS Association leads the way in research, care services, public education, and public policy- giving help and hope to those facing Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.The Chapter provides local comprehensive care services, from supporting Multidisciplinary Centers of Excellence, providing grants to patients and caregivers, local & national legislative work, to the funding of global research programs. A care services team provides: Caregiver Support Services Information, referrals Support group meetings In-home evaluations Loaned speech communication devices Loaned durable medical equipment to people with ALS and their caregivers Patient/caregiver support groups Other services related to ALSSee website for more information.
