Description: The Western Placer Consolidated Transportation Service Agency (WPCTSA) is a joint powers agency with the power to provide and coordinate social service transportation for the western portion of Placer County, including services for the elderly and individuals with disabilities. WPCTSA programs are intended to provide transportation services for Placer County residents who are not able to use conventional public transit services operating within western Placer County. Each program responds to a unique transportation need not otherwise currently met or met well within a prescribed service area.WPCTSA collaborates with and funds programs available through the following agencies:Seniors First, Inc., a local non-profit organization: Health Express, a non-emergency medical transportation service (Health Express Riders Guide); and My Rides, a program covering a slate of services including volunteer transportation services, rural mileage reimbursement, and transportation vouchersRoseville Transit as the designated operator, as follows: Transit Ambassador Program South Placer Transportation Call CenterThe WPCTSA also funds a Retired Dial-a-Ride Vehicle Program.Placer County Transportation Planning Agency (PCTPA) was designated as the administrator of the WPCTSA.
