Description: In operation since 1976, Progress Ranch promotes the hope, health, and well-being of boys between the ages of 6 and 12 by helping them develop the self-confidence, competence, and positive feelings that result from living in a nurturing setting within a supportive community.Our facility has 12 beds. We are located in a residential neighborhood in the city of Davis, and boys are eligible to attend Davis public schools.The Board of Directors consists of local residents who recognize the need for caring, community-based programs for children at risk. They meet monthly in Davis.A packet of material to describe board service opportunities is available upon request.Our home provides the following: Safety, security, and understanding Professional child care and treatment Tutoring and educational advocacy Individual, group, and family counseling Psychological and psychiatric services Mainstreamed recreational activities Mentoring
