- Description: 4-H is the world,s largest youth serving organization. Kids have fun exploring over200hands-on projects from crafts, gardening, & guide dogs to robotics, cooking, horsesand outdoor adventure.Kids meet new friends, acquire new skills, develop talents, and build a sense ofcommunity in a safe environment.Kids learn leadership, citizenship and life skills including confidence, public speaking,organization, team work and responsibility.4-H is sponsored by Cooperative Extension through USDA,University of California and Humboldt county. Youth programs are dependent on certified adult volunteers.4H offers a variety of educational programs for youth including club project participation,in school science, after school program enhancement, outdoor education, and specialinterest project groups.
