  • Description: A program of the California State Department of Justice Missing Persons Unit, mandated by Assembly Bill 606, July 1986. The program provides monthly posters of missing children and dependent adults to law enforcement agencies and schools, and a quarterly bulletin of missing juveniles to the same agencies and schools. Acts upon information received on sightings of missing children, relaying this information to the closest law enforcement agency. Subject children must be age 17 or under. Provides a special edition poster by request of a law enforcement agency. Provides referrals to various agencies that may be of further assistance.
