Description: Community Board Mediation - a panel of three trained volunteer community mediators assist you in working toward your own written win-win solutions. We are impartial - we do not recommend solutions or represent sides. Our mediators help you set ground rules and maintain them; hold a respectful spacefor you; and guide you through a process designed to arrive at your own written agreement. Custom Workshops - Humboldt Mediation Services trainers work with you to design a training for you and your organization that focuses on active learning to arrive at new communication and conflict management skills. Facilitated Meetings - a team of trained facilitators provide impartial assistance and help your group navigate toward a shared vision. This can include elements of mediation and/or training when useful. Speaker's Bureau - HMS volunteers speak to your group about the value of finding collaborative solutions and introduce you to Humboldt Mediation Services. Community Mediator Training - at least annually, HMS offers a 34-hour training in community mediation. The training is fast-paced, active and in-depth. Those who wish to go on and serve with Humboldt Mediation then complete a term of mentorship in which they work one-on-one with an experienced mentor.
