• Description: The Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program was created to reduce high-risk complications and mortality among low-income pregnant women and infants in California. It is an additional component of the OB program that offers nutritional guidance, health education, and psycho-social services and prenatal vitamins to help reduce low birth weights in infants, prevent high-risk situations, and provide valuable information to pregnant women. Case coordination would include assessments, reassessments and interventions, pre and post natal. Home visits are offered and incorporated in the prenatal and postpartum program.
