Description: Willow Creek Community Resource Center is guided by the mission of the St Joseph Health System, Humboldt County. Services include: Childcare referral Free Walk-in consolations services (appointment is encouraged) Access to food pantry ( Emergency Food), Food distribution Access to Clothing Closet Application assistance with SSI, Unemployment, Stimulous, Calfresh Employment and Job ready services Family/Community Dinners Health education Home visits Housing assistance Information and referral Mental health referrals Legal help referrals Substance Abuse referals Nutrition/Fitness education Parenting resources Access Technology Transportation assistance for appointmentsWillow Creek Community Resource Center is a member of the Healthy Start Schools and Communities Partnership, which is a consortium of resource centers collaborating efforts to strengthen the Humboldt community. Services are limited to essential services, and people are encouraged to make appointments. Staff will be outside the Resource Center door and available by phone from 10-12 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays making appointments and helping with minor services such as making copies, from 12-3 on those days the resource center will conduct those appointments on-on-one outside the Center and following Public Health guidelines for physical distancing. Thursday will continue to have Commodities Distribution from 8:30-1, and people can sign up for CalFresh during that time also. Most services will be provided from parking lot. If it is smokey, clients can go inside 1 at a time.
