  • Description: The California Smokers' Helpline provides a number of services to help smokers and other tobacco users quit. All services are free.Provides information, referral and counseling to people wanting to quit smoking or chewing tobacco. Sends quit kits to those who are ready to quit smoking soon and are interested in receiving self-help materials. People who are not ready to quit will receive smoking and health information in preparation for smoking cessation. Referral services include information on other local cessation programs. Telephone counseling is available to those ready to quit, those who have quit on their own and those who have completed another cessation program and are having difficulty staying off tobacco.
