• Description: The mission of the Southern Humboldt Family Resource Center is to connect all community members to resources and services by: Supporting education and lifelong learning by strengthening relationships between our schools, families and communities; Nurturing efforts of community members to reach their fullest potential and well being; Providing opportunities to participate in safe and enriching community life; and Promoting respect for diversity.Services: Weekly food bags will be provided (Backpack program through FfP) once a week The day will depend on the school's schedule, call to inquire. Day is coordinated to best serve families in need. Families will need to qualify for this service, families can contact FRC or school staff to sign up. Distribution days: Wednesdays 12-4pm from FRC office. Emergency food bags, hygiene kits, dental health kits, school supplies, arts and crafts, and clothing. All supplies a based on donations and grants received.Other services will be via online or phone.
