Description: Straight Street Men's Center was started in 2005 in Arcata California with only two staff members and two students working out of five units at a local apartment complex. As the program began to grow, a group of local people saw a need for a permanent men's center. In 2009, an old drug infested hotel was purchased and converted into what is now the Straight Street Men's Center in Eureka California. Straight Street Men's Center is a one year discipleship program that can house 52 men. They are using the PSNC (Personal Studies for New Christians) for classroom studies, have a work therapy program, and are reaching out to the local community with many services.
