Description: Open Door Community Health Centers welcomes all transgender patients for health and wellness needs. The clinic system is committed to offering a safe and inclusive space for all patients. Services include primary and preventive health care, same day appointments, STD screening, hormone therapy, referrals for sex reassignment surgeries and in-house lab draws. The clinics also offer case management, behavioral health consults, access to mental health care and a monthly Transgender Support Group. Clinicians follow WPATH standards.Support GroupsThe Adult Transgender and Gender Expansive Support Group meets every last Wednesday of the month from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at Humboldt Open Door Clinic, 770 10th Street, Arcata, CA.The group is open to all Open Door patients age 18 and over who identify as trans or gender queer. All insurances are accepted and no charge for those without insurance.The support group will be facilitated by the clinic's Behavioral Health Consultant and peer co-facilitators. If you are interested in attending the support group, please contact the clinic at your earliest convenience: The Youth Transgender and Gender Expansive Support Group meets the third Monday of every month from 3:45pm to 5pm at Humboldt Open Door Clinic, 770 10th Street, Arcata, CA.Led by Aisha Candrian Morton, LMFT, the group is open to all trans and gender expansive Open Door patients age 12-22 as well as their family/partners/support system.
