Description: Program offers supportive services to low-income seniors and individuals with a disability. Helps individuals to live safely in their own home. Staff members check in with clients before starting care to understand their needs. Services may include:

Grooming
Dressing
Bowel and bladder care
Light housekeeping
Laundry
Shopping
Meal preparation and clean up
Public Authority helps manage the delivery of IHSS services by maintaining the registry. Visit the registry website to apply. Registry refers In-Home Supportive Services care providers who seek work. Providers on registry have been fingerprinted, passes criminal record check, and attended orientation.
Eligibility: Must meet the following requirements:
-Be a resident of Mendocino County and live in a home of your own choosing (not a board and care facility or nursing home).
-U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident
-Medi-Cal or be Medi-Cal eligible
-Demonstrate functional needs for assistance with activities of daily living
