Description: Program offers supportive services to low-income seniors and individuals with a disability. Helps individuals to live safely in their own home. Staff members check in with clients before starting care to understand their needs. Services may include:
- Bathing
- Grooming
- Dressing
- Bowel and bladder care
- Light housekeeping
- Laundry
- Shopping
- Meal preparation and clean up
Public Authority helps manage the delivery of IHSS services by maintaining the registry. Visit the registry website to apply. Registry refers In-Home Supportive Services care providers who seek work. Providers on registry have been fingerprinted, passes criminal record check, and attended orientation.

Eligibility: Must meet the following requirements: -Be a resident of Mendocino County and live in a home of your own choosing (not a board and care facility or nursing home). -U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident -Medi-Cal or be Medi-Cal eligible -Demonstrate functional needs for assistance with activities of daily living
