  • Description: Allows for a Qualified Referring Party (QRP) to refer an individual for mental health treatment without the consent of the individual.

    Qualified Referring Party can be:
    • Roommate (18 yrs and older, whom the individual resides with)
    • Family (Parent, spouse, sibling or child, 18 yrs and older)
    • Agency Director (Any public / private agency providing mental health services to the individual)
    • Hospital Director (Director of a hospital where the individual is hospitalized)
    • Licensed Therapist (Mental Health treatment provider who is supervising or treating the individual)
    • Peace Officer (Police, Parole, Probation officer assigned to supervise the individual.
