Description: Provides classes for parents and children to learn how to improve family relationships. Classes provided at locations in Redding and Red Bluff. Children 12 and older encouraged to attend with parent(s). Younger children may attend with consent from instructor. Class size is small, allowing for more interaction and support from instructor. Enrollment is open - clients may start at any time. Programs range from 16 to 52 weeks.Focus is on: Clear communication skills Setting healthy boundaries in personal relationships Teaching children decision making skills Use of consequences instead of punishment Impact of nutrition on physical, mental and behavior health Conflict resolution skills Preventing power struggles Helping children develop a feeling vocabulary Transforming anger into healthy self-esteem Use of brain smart discipline.
