Description: Provides suicide bereavement support services to those who are grieving the suicide death of a family member or friend. Also assists professionals who work with those who are grieving a suicide tragedy. Organized by and for survivors, all staff and volunteers have been directly impacted by a suicide death. Provides a variety of peer support services that comfort, encourage, and educate those in grief.Services include: Suicide Loss Helpline with volunteers who have shared the tragedy of suicide Monthly newsletter of sharing and information Monthly Bereavement Support Forums Training of volunteers Information and referral for local resources Comprehensive list of printed resources, tapes, and lending libraryA monthly support group sponsored by Friends for Survival meets in Chico.
