Description: EOPS is a state-funded program designed to recruit and retain students. It serves those who are economically and educationally disadvantaged. Services are designed to give students individualized attention and support. Services include: Priority registration Textbook credit Textbook lending library Academic, vocational, transfer, and personal counseling Calculator and tape recorder loan program One-to-one tutoring Supplemental instruction for Math courses Computer lab with free printing Emergency loan program Free cap and gown Work study opportunities Application fee waiver for CSU or UC systems Assistance with childcare expenses to qualified students.CARE is a supplemental component of the EOPS program. Provides educational support services for single parents who are CalWORKs cash aid recipients. May help cover expenses such as childcare, transportation, meals, textbooks, and supplies.
