• Description: Provides different projects and programs in Shasta County to support families and kids. Programs include: Family Resource Center: Offers case management, parent education and mentoring, diapers, baby wipes, and a clothing closet. Drop-in services are available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. One may also call to make an appointment. Services are free for all caregivers of children up to age 18. Parent-to-Parent Support Group (PLAG): Offers two support groups on Zoom every month. Groups talk about parenting, self-care, and more. Call them for more information. SafeCare Program: Serves those who may be at risk or have been reported for hurting their kids. Provides parent training on how to be better parents. Community Parent Partner Program: Offers help to families with young kids. Must be referred by Shasta County Children's Services. Triple P - Positive Parenting Program: Offers parents advice and support to have a good relationship with their child. Encourages good behavior and teaches new skills. Parent Partners: Supports families with kindergarten kids to help navigate through the school year. Parent Cafs: Offers places for parents to meet new friends, share ideas and learn about community resources. Check website for more information and the schedule.
