• Description: Serves older adults and adults with disabilities. Provides critical services and community resources helping people stay independent. Services in Plumas and Tehama County include:Information and assistance program.Answers questions about community services and public benefits. Helps adults ages 60+ with managing their care. Screens for eligibility and makes appointments for senior legal services provided by Legal Services of Northern California. HICAP (Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program). Provides assistance navigating Medicare and health insurance. Serves all ages of seniors and adults with disabilities with Medicare. Call HICAP or email passageshicap@csuchico.edu. Offers home modifications for adults ages 60+ to reduce their risk of falling. May provide wheelchair ramps, railings, or shower conversions.
