  • Description: Provides home visiting services. Serves pregnant mothers and parents/caretakers of children under three months of age. (Under 24 months of age for CalWORKs recipients). Services are available to the families for up to three years. This is a voluntary program which cultivates healthy parent-child relationships. Benefits can include: Support for parents Information and tools for nutrition, prenatal care, infant and toddler care Support for mental illness, domestic violence or substance abuse Tools to grow as a parent Child development screenings Family Support Specialist working with provider to better maintain family needs Help to enroll in school and/or create education goals Resources to find employment Access to community partnerships and resources If enrolled in CalWORKs can receive up to $1,000 for health or safety needs.
