  • Description: Provides Shasta County Youth/Peer Court for first time juvenile offenders. Program practices restorative, rather than punitive, justice. Participants have the opportunity to have their cases heard before a jury of their peers. Peer jurors and advocates are youth ages 12-18 from schools throughout Shasta County.Program includes:Over 100 student volunteers in the program each year and 60 or more adult volunteers.Court is generally held once a week in the evenings from 5:15-8pm in Redding.Open to the public, visit website for a listing of court dates and locations.
