Typically becomes available beginning of February through the tax season. Tax services are provided in the following formats: Visit www.MyFreeTaxes.org and click the self-filing option. Available 24/7 File for free online on your own. There is no income limit for self-filing. In-person, drop-off or virtual VITA Services (Tax Preparation Checklist) Drop off required copies of tax documents only, no original documents. All documents required. Customer service available to assist people with tax questions.United Way of Northern California offers a variety of services. Provides help for wildfire survivors.   • Eligibility: -Household income of less than $68,675 in 2024-Not have any residential rental income from properties they own-Not file for bankruptcy in the past year-If married you must file JOINTLY-If individual has stocks, must have less than 20 transactions, must not be digital assists -Self employment expenses must not exceed $35,000
  • Requirements: -For appointments:-Photo ID/DL for each adult in household-Social Security cards for you, spouse and dependents-Forms W-2 & 1099 -Proof of insurance coverage & 1095A-Last year's tax return-Total paid daycare provided and daycare tax id-All deductions, including charitable contributions and credits-Bank account and routing number for direct deposit
